The Simplicity of Life- Part Two

The title seem interesting. My blog today is about the simplicity of life. In another secret blog I have with some close friends, messages of sadness, complaints, hatred, stress, love, heart aches, betrayal fills the pages.

Somehow, during the week, something strike me really hard. I was thinking of some facts in life- The Simplicity of Life (Part Two).
Often we stress, often we complaint, often we loose hope, but then there will come a time, we will enjoy the day.

Last Saturday, after exam, I went to a house party. First time...FIRST time...FIRST TIME in my life, I got tipsy. We had dinner, we played innocent games, and we finally drank easily 20 bottles of beers and few wine and whiskey. At 1.30am, I was light headed and I feel like dancing. With Black Eye Peas as the background music, I was feeling 'Oz culture'. And you know what? All the stress, I felt during the week, was all flushed out with the alcohol. The simple party, was able to make me smile once more.

So to all dudes and p**s out there, when you feel down, always remember, the sun will rise tomorrow morning. The exam will pass. The people around us will leave. If we're not prepared, the sun will still rise, the exam will still end, the people around us will still leave. So what can we do? If the sun is going to rise, make sure we're there to enjoy sun rise with your love ones. If the exam is going pass, make sure you're prepared to sit to the end of the examination. If people around us leaves, make sure we follow them all the way before we leave. Being sad won't initiate or stop any events.

All we have to do is to see each day differently. Do something you haven't done before. Example, people laugh when we sit play in the playground. Who cares? Go! Sit the swing, hop on the see saw. Play in the rain, jump in the mud.

Have a celebration! Who says you need a special event for parties?

Do something different, get a bikini wax! Shave all you want. You will feel different. Change the hairstyle. Ugly? Who say so? We're just being different.

Those who say we look ugly in a new hairstyle are stereotypes who doesn't know how to enjoy life.

We posed for 20 shots before getting it right. Stupid isn't it? not exactly. This photo will remind me of the best times I had with my good friends. 'Doing the Stupid Things Right'.

Therefore, my friends, life is not easy, but it doesn't mean it sucks! What makes us happy are not the expensive accessories that suck the cash out of you, but the little new and different things we do, the people and friends that we do it with, that will add fun and spices in your life.

The Simplicity of Life.....

Cherio.

The Simplicity of Life- Part One

Hi all,

I'm so sorry for not posting news recently. Well, via Facebook, perhaps you all might have guessed that I'm having exam. And its Accounting!! I just finish Income Tax Law two Saturdays back and two accounting papers last Saturday. So its kinda stress and this coming Saturday, I have a Corporation Law. Sigh, its all words and I'm losing interest in them. Well, so start with, my lecturer is dead boring. Secondly, I recently realize that 'Law' doesn't apply in Malaysia. If you're caught for fraud, it will take 2 months for authorities to interfere. In the mean time, flee from Malaysia. Hide in Indonesia or Australia for 3 years. No problem. If you're lazy to flee, give 40% of total fraud money to the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA), you will surely get off the hook.

My bottom line is, I always praise law sky high and I use to love law especially LAW 101. But now, the Malaysian legal system has turned me off. Now, put those 'emo-ing' issues aside and come back to my blog.

Today's blog theme is SIMPLICITY. Some dudes out there ask me, 'Daniel, can you cook? Ure so lazy, how you cook? Your food, can makan wan ah? Sure boh?' Now, i will show you all, how lazy, but want to live healthy people a.k.a ME @ Chef Wong do a meal.

The Emperor's Pork

Step One: On steamer and set for 30 minutes. Insert rice and cover.

Step Two: While rice is cooking, take mince pork, marinated with soya sauce, pepper, dark sauce, garlic and ginger, sesame oil.

Step Three: At the 10th minute, insert the pork and place above the rice and cook for 10th minutes.

Step Four: After 7 minutes, throw some vege on top. Remove the pork and vege after 3 minutes.

Step Five: There should be 10 minutes remaining. After the beep, take out rice and eat.

There you go, a healthy meal!

The Easy Cheesy Chicky

This is an awesome meal.

Step One: Take a chicken thigh, marinate with salt, pepper, BBQ sauce, vegemite, soyasauce (basically what ever sauce you have in your cabinet. Chuck it in the fridge for a a week.
(Tip: Salt and pepper are the two main ingredient in any dish. Put these two in, you will never go wrong.

Step Two: When you want to eat, put it on an aluminum foil (so that you dun have to clean the oven. Remember, its a lazy man's menu.) and throw it in the oven and set it for 15 minutes.

Step Three: After 15 minutes, remove chicken spread some honey on top. Continue for another 7 minutes. When time's up, sprinkle some cheese on top and continue for 4 minutes or until cheese turns brown.

Vege? Boil a kettle of water, and pour it over some lettuce. Put soya sauce and sesame oil. Wala!

That's it!! Easy...The Simplicity of Life! What's so hard?

Cheers.

If The Job Is Worth Doing, Its Worth Doing Well

Hello guys,

As usual, its my exam period now. There won't be any post to update you all. But there's heaps of stories to tell u all. My Uni's 100th Birthday, my first KFC experience, my first examination outside of the country. But I promise all readers and friends that I would post it all after exam.

Tonight, no more educating girls bout guys, no more insulting and teasing each other. But I will to post an email my sister gave me before I entered Form 6. Entering Form 6 was the biggest moment in my life. No one except my uncle encourage me to do Form 6. They said its a waste of time and blah, blah, blah...you know what I mean.

But on the hind side, after all has passed, I looked back and I can proudly, honestly and sincerely say Form 6 is one of the best moments in my life. And after reading this poem again few days back, I could recall how accurate this was.

Enjoy.

The Job’s Worth Doing Well

There will always be the knockers

When its your turn to sing.

There will always be those who say

You should be doing some other thing.

Remember this is your life, mate.

Do your best right from the bell

Always remembering that if the job’s worth doing,

The job’s worth doing well.

Do not knock the knockers

They are a type of judge.

They test your courage and resolve

To stand tall and never budge.

They spur you to remember

As you hear that final bell

That if the jobs worth doing,

The job’s worth doing well.

You’ve made it to the finals

All is quiet on the wings.

Not a word is heard from those who said

You should be doing other things.

Be glad about the knockers

For giving you so much hell.

They helped you to remember

The job’s worth doing well.

This poem gave me an encouragement to face the 'knockers' and 'circumstances' that I face. May this be an encouragement to all of you as well.

This post was immediately thought of when I saw Umbrella's post. Hope it will help you to overcome whatever problems it may be.

Have to faster sleep now. Wasted one whole day today. Waking up early to see my potential new house at 7am and then will be heading to library to study yo.

Good night, folks.

50 things that girls don’t know about guys.

Today I wish to educate girls regarding guys. I didn't create this. It's just that I agree with a post from a fellow blogger, Christopher on his myspace and I feel every girl should understand a guy.

Please read them slowly and understand them. It's very useful in future when you find Mr. Right.

1. Guys hate sluts.

2. "Hey, are you busy?" or "Are you doing something?" ~ two phrases guys open with to stop from stammering on the phone.

3. Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about.

4. Before they call, guys try to plan out a little about what they're gonna say so there aren't awkward pauses, but once he's on the phone he forgets it all and makes it up as he goes.

5. Guys go crazy over a girl's smile.

6. Guys will do anything just to get you to notice him.

7. Guys hate it when you talk about your ex-boyfriend or ex love-interest. Unless they're goin for the let-her-complain-to-you-and-then-have-her-realize-
how-wonderful-and-nice-you-are method.

8. A guy who likes you wants to be the only guy you talk to.

9. Boyfriends need to be reassured often that they're still loved.

10. Don't talk about your guy friends to your boyfriend.

11. Guys get jealous easily.

12. Guys are more emotional than they'd like people to think.

13. Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know what?!..uh…nevermind.." would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking. And he'll assume he did something wrong and he'll obsess about it trying to figure it out.

14. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.

15. Guys hate asking parents for money to buy girls presents. So they come up with ideas like saving their lunch money for a week. But it never works because guys are always hungry so they end up asking the parents for money anyway.

16. Girls are guys' weaknesses.

17. Guys are very open about themselves.

18. It's good to test a guy first before you trust him. But don't let him wait too long.

19. Your best friend, whom your boyfriend seeks help from about his problems with you may end up being admired by your boyfriend.

20. If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don't need to give advice.

21. A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.

22. Guys love you more than you love them if they are serious in your relationships.

23. Guys will brag about anything.

24. Guys use words like hot or cute to describe girls. We rarely use beautiful. If a guy uses that, he likes you.

25. Guys think WAY too much. One small thing a girl does, even if she doesn't notice it can make the guy think about it for hours, trying to figure out what it meant.

26. Guys seek for advice from girls not other guys. Because most guys think alike, so if one guy's confused, then we're all confused.

27. Any guy could write out a rulebook or advice book for flirting, but no guy can write out a book about relationships.

28. Try to be as straightforward as possible.

29. A guy has to experience rejection, because if he's too-good-never-been-busted, never been in love and hurt, he won't be mature and grown up.

30. If the guy does something stupid in front of the girl, he will think about it for the next couple days or until the next time he spends time with the girl.

31. No matter how much guys talk about asses and boobs, personality is key.

32. Guys learn from experience not from the romance books that girls read and take as their basis of experience.

33. Guys worry about the thin line between being compassionate and being whipped.

34. If a guy looks unusually calm and laid back, he's probably faking it and is spazzing inside.

35. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl, he really is. Guys rarely say that.

36. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he's just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me."

37. Guys don't really have final decisions.

38. If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him. It doesn't happen that often, so when it does, you know something's up.

39. If your best guy friend seems to avoid you or is never around when you're with your boyfriend, he's probably jealous and likes you.

40. When a guy looks at you for longer than a second, he's definitely thinking something.

41. Guys like femininity not feebleness.

42. Guys don't like girls who punch harder than they do.

43. A guy has more problems than you can see with your naked eyes.

44. Don't be a snob. Guys can be intimidated and give up easily.

45. Everything in moderation. Put on makeup, wear perfume. Just not too much.

46. Guys talk about girls more than girls talk about guys.

47. Guys hate rejection, but they hate being led on even more.

48. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions and are MAD confusing but somehow are drawn even more to them.

49. A guy would give his left nut to be able to read a girl's mind for a day.

50. No guy can handle all his problems by his own. He's just too stubborn to admit it.

Its Just Another Lemon Fruit

Today's post won't be my usual cheong hei article. Today is just short, direct and straight to the point.

Yesterday, someone told me to sau pei. Today, someone ask to sau ye (pack up your stuff). Ya, it was literal. My housemate Sean, who was the kind chap who rented a room of his to me, is planning to move back to Melbourne in mid May. Since no one can take his room at $270 a week, I have to move out as well. So yesterday, he have me the Ultimatum to get a new place after my mid sem which means 1st of May. Sigh, I'm homeless by then.

When I first arrive here, it wanted to move away fast to be nearer to my friends. As time passes, I began to like this place very much. Last week, i discovered there is a bus stop 100m away from my house that goes directly to city. So convenient, plus the train station is just behind my house. I love this place so much until this evening, Sean dropped the bombshell. My world went crushing down.

Its like dunno this girl initially. You're just looking at hind side.

As time went pass, you begin to like here more and more.

So much so, there was a bond, and you knew, she was the one.

Then when all is said and done...she leaves you....

with some lemons...

Then all you can do is to bury yourself..

So I'll be without a home from May onwards. If any of you plan to visit me, sorry mates! I have exams prior to May and no house post May. You all should have come when the invitation was open!

Cheers.

My Easter Weekend Part 2

On the 4th of April, it was Easter Saturday, the second day my sis was with me. During the day time, our cousins brought us to have DimSum. FYI, Oz has the best DimSum around. Even better than Hong Kong because all the master chefs migrated to Oz for a better living. We went to Restaurant Manor but I'm so sorry guys, with aunties and uncles around, its not good to snap photos. So no photos for DimSum, but their DimSum here is so huge! 'ha kaw' here has 2 prawns in it! Everything is double the size than of Malaysia. Good experience.

Then evening, we went to Southbank. According to the 'expert'/veteran here, my sis, Southbank is the most interesting and romantic place in Brisbane. I've to admit that its a nice place to be and chill out.

There might be a few same pics as I took last time, but remember, its with better higher resolution camera.

Eye of Brisbane

Southbank by night

Sis testing her night mode. It was a guinea pig shot

Check this out. The boat behind me, its a 'on water disco'. Cool right? Its like clubbing on water! Awesome!

Another random pic. This is where people sit and chat and date in Southbank.

After that, we took a Citycat to UQ. Crusing along Brisbane river is really an unforgettable experience. The wind blowing on you face, the chill and cool air outside, the beautiful city lights, then a dark ride in West End urban. Its really nice.

The following pictures are UQ by night. I didn't know it was so nice at night.

Final shot before we leave UQ

This weekend was rather interesting. Then on Easter Monday, being a public holiday, Ian brought me for my first 3-D movie (yea, I know I'm deprived).

This is what I watched!!

And my 3-D glasses.....

That pretty much sums up my weekend. Now, studying for midsem in a week's time. Crap! What am I doing blogging here! OK, that's is for now, folks. Cheers.

My Easter Weekend Part 1

My Easter weekend was great! I always wanted to capture beautiful pictures of my remaining moments in Brisbane. But camera, was the equipment I needed to catch these moments. So on Easter Friday, my wish came knocking at the door at 2.30am.

My sis appeared at 50, Swann Road, and she's in Australia to make her initial entry to Australia as her Permanent Resident (PR) was granted. So she brought me all over the place to take beautiful pictures around UQ and Southbank. She was here 3 years back, doing exactly what I'm doing now.

With her new camera, she managed to take, well, not too bad photos (definitely better than mine).

So enjoy the new pics below.

First morning, woke up at 8.30am with only 4 hours of sleep and cook breakfast together with her. Our typical Oz breakfast, again. Omelet, onion(forgot to buy mushrooms),bacon and sausage. Yummy to the max!

Next, we headed to University of Queensland (UQ). But we missed the bus by 20 seconds. As I open my main door, I saw the bus passed. What the !@#$?! It will be in an hour's time before the next one arrives. Instead, we took the train from Taringa to Toowong, then we change bus to UQ. Awesome idea.

Now, the real moment begins. With a camera woman beside me, I can do all crazy stuff!!

This is the arc to The Great Court from the bus stop, Chancellor's Place.

Me along Forgan Smith's corridor. This corridor is the main 'attraction' of UQ. All photos will be taken here and it will be memory of a lifetime....

Me and my sis sitting on the Great Court. The background is the back of Forgan Smith.

Another pose worth to remember in 2010. The Year Daniel Wong Step into UQ.

UQ Centre is the biggest hall or Auditorium in UQ.Its 3 times the size of Dewan Dato' Wong Kee Tatt of SMKTC. All major examination, fairs, convocation, etc are held here.

Behind UQ Centre, this is the field where I will be graduating at the end of these year (if I graduate la!) This is one thing I love bout Oz. Their grass is so clean and well kept that you can just lie down on it.

This is UQ Lakes. UQ is a Science based Uni. We are the Uni that explore into biomedic and aerospace research semi-funded by the Government. The lake is bigger than Taman Tasik Titiwangsa!Awesome! Nice place for dating, but Southbank is more romantic, and you will know why later.

DUHIG Building. This is my library. Social Science and Humanities Library of UQ. It has 4 stories filled with books, journals and even rents DVD! You'll never feel bored!

Forgan Smith. Sorry to go on and on about Forgan Smith, but this place will forever associate me with UQ, Whenever I think of UQ, this part of the building pops into my mine.

My day closes with a dinner with my sis, my housemate, Sean, and my first crush Francine. We had a marvelous time together. Francine came over because she forgot her keys and was locked out in her apartment. Luckily my sis was there. So the 2 ladies took my room and I slept in the hall :(....but for her, can! No prob!

Roast Chicken....one week marination roasted to perfection

Honey Roasted Spare Ribs with Barbecue Sauce

Mashed potatoes baked with heaps of cheese!!

Serving finished off with 2 pieces of lamb leg, and a serving of broccoli.
